The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has released the result of the Graduate Trainee recruitment exam. Candidates who appeared for the Computer Based Test can now check whether they have made it to the interview stage.

Along with the shortlist, ONGC has also published the stream-wise cut-off scores and activated the interview call letter download link. Interviews begin on 16 October 2026 at ONGC, SCOPE Minar, Delhi.

Application Fee

The application fee was payable at the time of registration. General, OBC and EWS candidates paid Rs. 1,000, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates were fully exempt. Payment was accepted online only.

Age Limit (as on 31 July 2026)

  • Geology stream: 21 to 27 years
  • Engineering streams: 21 to 26 years
  • Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria

For the engineering streams, candidates needed a B.Tech in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks. For the Geology stream, a postgraduate degree in Geology, Petroleum Geoscience or Petroleum Geology — or an M.Tech in Geological Technology — with 60% marks was required. Full eligibility conditions are given in the original notification.

Selection Process

ONGC shortlisted candidates for the personal interview in a 1:5 ratio based on CBT scores. Final selection rests on CBT performance combined with the interview, followed by medical fitness and document verification. ONGC has stated that CBT marks will be disclosed along with the final selection.
