(Urdu), Special B.T.C., a 2-year Diploma in Special Education recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India, a 4-year B.El.Ed. degree, or a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002. Candidates must also have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the state government or the Government of India. Note that the B.T.C. course is now run under the name D.El.Ed.

Assistant Teacher, Sambaddh Primary (Aided Schools): Graduate degree from a university or deemed university established by law or recognised by the Government in India, plus B.T.C. or D.El.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised course, and a qualifying TET score for Classes 1 to 5 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Government or the Government of India.

Candidates must hold the essential qualifications by the last date of application.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

Selection is based on a written examination of 360 marks, comprising 120 objective-type (MCQ) questions to be answered in 2 hours. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong or multiple answer. The question paper is bilingual — in Hindi and English.

If the exam is held in multiple shifts, scores are normalised to keep the comparison fair, and only normalised scores are used for selection. In case of a tie, preference goes first to the higher graduation percentage, then to the higher training-qualification percentage, and finally to the older candidate.

Selected Assistant Teachers are appointed in Pay Level 6 with a pay scale of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
