SSC Exam Schedule 2026 Released

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the proposed exam schedule for three major 2026 recruitment examinations. The notice (F. No. HQ-EC033/7/2025-EC), issued on 1 October 2026, covers the Junior Engineer (JE) Paper-I, the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces examination, and the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier-I examination.

All three examinations will be held in Computer Based Examination (CBE) mode across November and December 2026. These are among the most attempted government exams in the country, so the announcement gives aspirants a clear window to plan their final preparation.

One important note: SSC has described these as proposed dates. Candidates should keep checking ssc.gov.in and their regional SSC website for the final date-wise schedule and any corrigendum.

SSC JE 2026 Paper-I – 2 to 6 November

The Junior Engineer examination opens the calendar, scheduled over five days from 2 to 6 November 2026. It is conducted for Junior Engineer posts in various central government departments and organisations, and each candidate’s exact date and shift will be printed on the admit card.

Delhi Police & CAPF Sub-Inspector Exam – 20 to 28 November

The Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026 runs from 20 to 28 November 2026 in CBE mode. This is one of SSC’s most competitive examinations, covering Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police and the CAPFs.

SSC CHSL 2026 Tier-I – 30 November to 31 December

The Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 Tier-I has the longest window — from 30 November to 31 December 2026. CHSL recruits for Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator posts, and is open to candidates who have passed Class 12.

Admit Card and Exam City Timelines

SSC follows a standard release pattern for these examinations. The exam city intimation slip is generally released about two weeks before a candidate’s allotted exam date, and the admit card follows closer to the exam — typically three to seven days before.

Because the CHSL window stretches over a full month, city slips and admit cards will be released in batches. Download them only from ssc.gov.in or your regional SSC portal, and verify your name, photograph, exam date, shift timing and centre address on the admit card.

What Candidates Should Do Now

  • Note your exam’s proposed window and plan revision and mock tests backwards from it.
  • Keep your registration number and password safe — you will need them to download the city slip and admit card.
  • Track updates only through ssc.gov.in and your regional SSC website; do not rely on unofficial schedules.
