Category-wise reservation: UR – 125, EWS – 31, OBC – 84, SC – 47, ST – 23. Sixteen seats are reserved horizontally for persons with benchmark disability (40% and above) across eligible trades.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must hold an ITI Pass Certificate in the respective trade. Only candidates who passed ITI during 2021–2026 are eligible.
- The candidate should be a resident of Telangana state.
- Aadhaar is mandatory.
- Age as on 31 October 2026: minimum 18 years. Upper age limit is 25 years for General, 28 years for OBC, and 30 years for SC/ST candidates, with an additional 10 years relaxation for PwD candidates.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organisation are not eligible.

ECIL Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Selection will be done trade-wise on the basis of ITI marks merit — 70% of seats from Government ITIs and 30% from Private ITIs. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification at CLDC, Nalanda Complex, ECIL Hyderabad, followed by a practical test. No TA/DA will be paid for attending. There is no interview mentioned in the advertisement.

Applying is a two-step process:
Step 1: Register yourself on the MSDE apprenticeship portal — www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in — and obtain your Apprenticeship India Registration ID.
Step 2: Go to www.ecil.co.in → Human Resources → Current Job Openings → click “Apply Online” against Advt. 11/2026. Direct apply link: https://ecerecprd01.ecil.gov.in/ecilerec/ereciti
Enter your MSDE registration ID, fill in personal and academic details including ITI marks, upload the scanned documents, and take a printout of the system-generated application (a reprint option is available before the last date).
Documents Required
For document verification, carry the signed printed online application with a photograph, plus originals and photocopies of: MSDE registration, date-of-birth proof, government-issued identity (Aadhaar/Driving Licence/Passport), educational certificates, and the latest caste/disability certificate in the prescribed proforma available on ecil.co.in. At the time of joining, a medical fitness certificate from a Civil Surgeon of a government hospital, a physical fitness certificate, and a police verification certificate from the SP office of the district headquarters are required. ECIL does not provide hostel or boarding facilities — candidates must make their own arrangements.
Also note: selected candidates must execute a Contract of Apprenticeship before training begins. Training completion does not give any claim to employment in ECIL, but candidates who pass the post-training practical test are issued the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) by MSDE.
